I called just about every boatyard and rig shop in New England… no luck! I have an old ensign so was looking for the older design mast step. I ended up having a friend build one on a CNC machine from delrin, though our first choice was from aluminum but the bit broke when we were 75% done… some of the rig shops may weld you one but it’ll be pricey!

I recently acquired an Ensign in northern Wisconsin. As it turns out, it is needing a great deal of work. One of the items is the mast step, which was corroded and the bolts got seized to a steel plate that was under the mast step. Ensign Spars appears to be sold out. Does anybody know of another source? Thank you!
