Hi folks,

I wanted to post the results of the voting to the Forum first as this is where many folks shared information and perspectives, particularly on the Permitted Electronics rule change.

We had a good 40 minute discussion at the meeting in advance of the voting process in addition to the information shared on the Forum.

A passing vote for these types of changes is 66.6% or 2/3 majority.  All three proposals passed as per the below.

Rule II.8.0 - Sail Measurement at Nationals. 62 Yes, 0 No. Amendment passes with 100% Approval

Rule II.13.B - Permitted Electronic Devices. 44 Yes, 18 No. Amendment passes with 71% Approval

Rule II.19.0 - Adaptive Aids. 62 Yes 0 No. Amendment passes with 100% Approval

Thank you all for participating in the discussion and helping everyone understand what is available, what may or may not be in use by other classes and the pros and cons of adopting the rule changes for the Ensign Class.
