Genoa Track Adjusters
Author Last Post
Thanks Bud.  Much appreciated.  I have forced a threaded nut into the jib car pin hole and will live with that.

On my older Pearson, the nuts that hold the Genoa track in are glassed over. Without serious work, it is impossible to even remove the end stops to replace the cars. That is a problem because one of my car pins is worn out. I was reading on a general sailing forum that some sailors add blocks and line behind the Genoa car and adjust with these. They, for all practical purposes turn the Genoa track into a traveler that can be micro adjusted on the fly. This ability to make quick micro adjustments while under pressure would seem to me to be a advantageous in racing scenarios. The track is already adjustable while racing, just not under pressure. Is such an adjustable Genoa track legal in the Ensign class?
