Regarding the VC17, the bottom paint was changed per EPA. Interlux has come out with a new reformulated paint. Just became available last week. I was able to get it from Port Supply (West Marine).

Well, I just found some VC17m in stock, so the question becomes, is there something better that is just as easy to apply?

I need to put some bottom paint on my boat before putting it in the water this year. I normally use VC17, and it gets worn off by ther weeds in Saratoga Lake. However, VC17 seems to be back ordered every place I looked.

Can anyone recommend a decent substitute for use in fresh water, something that can be put over the remaining VC17 and bare hull without the need for sanding?
