New Ensign owner – Need advise
Author Last Post
I have a used mast with the holes drilled and sail slot cut and it has jib and forestry tang on it.
It can be delivered to Tom’s River for pick up.
Much closer than Florida.
500.00 let me know asap or the ride to Tom’s River is going to disappear.

Thanks. 727-692-8061.

Zeke.

Perfect! Thank you.

I agree with the post suggesting that you search last year's threads, which include a link to this video discussing rubrail installation:https://drive.google.com/file/d/1uWj4BTZiluGgwOdqeu59aO5416BGugqF/view?pli=1

Mitch - great question and great that you are asking about the rub rail - if you look through last year's posts, there was a great thread on this with alot of comments and, in addition to responses you receive now, there may be additional information in the thread from last year which is useful to you. First question is whether you are going to use a set of original aluminum end caps or the stainless ones from Ensign Spars.

Hello ECA Members – My name is Mitch Kayden and I am the new owner of Easy Street that has been sailing out of the Nyack Boat Club for many years. I look forward to learning about the Ensign class and giving the tender loving care that she will need. Since I am fairly new to sailing as well (7 years), I can use some advice from time to time.

The first project is fixing the rub rail job around the bow that the previous owner did. The rub rail is going over the bow stem head and because of that it is loose from the flange in that area. I have the end caps and have taken a look at other Ensigns in the yard but would like advise for the best way to cut the rub rail and do this properly. I think the rub rail is secure along the rest of the boat but I am going to confirm this over the weekend.

I am attaching a few images of what I'm dealing with. Thanks in advance
